The album was released on Seth's own label, I-Scream.A fantastic performance at the Mercury Awards ceremony and two BBC Radio 2 Folk Award nominations, helped propel 'Kitty Jay' into becoming the fastest selling album of its kind in years. The Seth Lakeman Trio then completed a mammoth sell-out tour of the UK and wound up an amazing year by opening for The Pogues on their annual Christmas show in London. The impact of this success also found Seth diverse champions in Billy Bragg, Pete Tong, Jo Whiley, Jools Holland and Ricky Gervais.

Their experienced approach to their art lacks none of the fervour of their early days, and brings a maturity born of many years living with the music, an integral part of their beings. "Intense and demanding, this is hard core traditional music.
